On Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at 4:53:10 PM EST, a earthquake hit Port-Au-Prince, Haiti that caused 230,000 to be killed and left 1.3 million homeless. The earthquake that Haiti suffered was at 7.0 on the Richter's scale, this earthquake was the worst to hit Haiti in 200 years. There was a large amount of people injured. There was no hospital because just like everything else it was destroyed. There was no Police Station to go to because that also was destroyed. All of the government buildings in Haiti were destroyed except one. People watch there loved ones die. They carried injured people down the street searching for help, but could find none. People cried out "Why, why me?" because of broken bones and missing body parts. Families was left with no closure of if there loved ones died or escaped safely. This Tragedy had millions texting for donations and to raise money.
We will never understand the pain or suffering Haiti went through losing almost everything, because we have never been in such a disaster.
We only can help restore the buildings.
We can never bring back the lives lost.
We can only pray that the grieve passes over.
This nation of people have suffer greatly before the earthquake and worst after the earthquake
